Choir Assistant

Notre Dame Children's Choir is seeking an undergraduate Choir assistant to work in an after school choral program for children at off-campus church location Tuesdays and Thursdays and occasionally on weekends for performances.

Qualifications

● Available to work every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00 - 6PM and some weekends
● Personal reliable transportation to and from rehearsal and performance sites
● Pass a child safety background check
● Experience and interest in working with children

Comments

Positive and friendly attitude is a must! Additional hours with administrative duties available. Experience with graphics (flyers, programs), spreadsheet, music or choral experience is a plus.

Duties include:
● Assist choir directors in one of our choral classrooms with classroom management
● Supervise study hall before rehearsals and dismissal after rehearsals
● Help singers remain focused, provided extra help when needed, and attend to the health and safety of our singers
● Serve as camp counselors at overnight retreat and tours
● Assist with logistics and transportation of choir robes/music/supplies
● Provide support for Summer Choir Camp or Tour/recordings
● Support staff for local performances

 

Hours/time needed: 3:00 - 6:00 PM and occasional weekend
